Ugly Betty’s Ana Ortiz Ties the Knot

Ana Ortiz

Ana Ortiz, who plays America Ferrera‘s older sister on Ugly Betty, married musician Noah Lebenzon on Saturday in Puerto Rico.

Ortiz, 36, wore a white lace Monique Lhuillier gown, and Lebenzon, 37, wore a gray Prada suit at the afternoon ceremony in the veranda of the Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel in Rincón, Puerto Rico.

The 85 guests included Ugly Betty cast members Ferrera, Ashley Jensen and Mark Indelicato.

“The wedding was spectacular,” says Lisa Blades, Lebenzon’s aunt and owner of the event company In Any Event who served as the couple’s wedding planner. “With Ana’s work load and the success and craziness that come with a hit TV show, I think that Noah has been a great stabilizing force in her life. Committing to each other in marriage is calming for both of them.”

Before heading to Puerto Rico, Ortiz, who has decided to keep her maiden name, also celebrated with a bridal shower and afternoon tea at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills on May 18, where she received such items as a digital camera, cookware, and lingerie. The couple, joined by 30 friends, also had a joint bachelor and bachelorette party at Tao in Las Vegas on May 24.

Ortiz and Lebenzon, who began dating in 2004, were set up by mutual friends. Their pals told them to meet at Lucy’s El Adobe Cafe in Hollywood, but the friends didn’t show up for hours, leaving Ortiz and Lebenzon, who had already met a few times before, on an unplanned date. They became engaged in August of 2006.

Claire Forlani Weds Desperate Housewives Actor

Claire Forlani & Dougray Scott

Desperate Housewives actor Dougray Scott and actress Claire Forlani wed in a private civil ceremony in Italy on Friday, People magazine reported.

I have to be honest here, I forgot Claire Forlani even existed until I read this hee hee

“They’re both very excited,” a source says about the newlyweds.

Forlani wore a custom-made strapless gown with a “classic, Old Hollywood feel” by designer Junko Yoshioka for Bonaparte-NY, says the source. She completed her look with a crystal hair pin by Swarovski and Jimmy Choo heels.

Hmmmm somehow the image of old hollywood feel and Jimmy Choo sounds funny.

The couple met a year and a half ago through a mutual friend. Scott, 41, proposed to Forlani, 35, in Los Angeles in September. “It was very romantic,” Scott, who presented Forlani with a ring he designed, told People. “I feel so lucky to have met her. She’s an amazing actress and human being. I’m very happy.”

Lisa Ling Marries

Lisa Ling

Lisa Ling, correspondent for the Oprah Winfrey Show and National Geographic Channel, married Chicago-based doctor Paul Song on Saturday evening in Los Angeles, her rep tells People mag.

Bucking tradition, the bride walked down the aisle in a stunning, bright red Vivienne Tam dress in front of 550 family and friends including her journalism mentor Connie Chung and actresses Kelly Hu and Diane Farr.

“It was great!” says Numb3rs star Farr of the event held at Los Angeles’s Union Station.

Even preparing for the Asian-themed ceremony proved memorable. “My husband [marketing executive and Song friend Seung Chung] went shopping in Chinatown,” says Farr , “We came with a whole crew so he bought 10 outfits – everything from pajamas to silkies. Then we had a dress-up party at my house.”

Ling, 33, and Song, 41, got engaged over the holidays after he surprised her by flying their families to Chicago for the proposal which took place in a private dining room of Charlie Trotter’s restaurant.

Ling, who was previously engaged to media entrepreneur Philip Levine, met Song, a radiation oncologist at Chicago’s Little Company of Mary Hospital, through mutual friends in 2006.

Currently living apart – Ling in Washington, DC, and Song, in Chicago – the couple plan to settle in Los Angeles. The change, say friends, will be good for Ling. As she told Peope in 2003, “I hope my desire to travel so much isn’t forever because it’s not the most conducive lifestyle for a relationship or a family by any means.”
