Jennifer Aniston’s been single since her October split from Vince Vaughn – but she may have a new man in her life.
The former Friends star, 38, spent Memorial Day weekend getting cozy with a handsome mystery man with dirty-blond hair.
Although his identity remains in question, one thing’s for sure: During a romantic dinner at Santa Monica’s One Pico restaurant in the Shutters Hotel on Saturday, he had the actress’s undivided attention.
At 8 p.m. the pair slipped into the beachfront eatery with Aniston’s man gently rubbing her back as they waited for a table.
For the next three hours the duo talked by candlelight over a bottle of San Pellegrino, leaning in close and, at one point, even holding hands across the table. (Her rep had no comment on the dinner date.)
Still, it’s not as if Aniston needs a man to be happy. She seemed content to fly solo the next day at a local beach bash, palling around with neighbors Courteney Cox, David Arquette and their daughter Coco. Later, back at the Cox-Arquette abode, Aniston mingled with about a dozen guests while her pooch Dolly barked at the holiday commotion.
“Jennifer is doing so good,” longtime friend Kathy Najimy recently told People magazine. “She’s fantastic. Couldn’t be better.”

After three months of dating, Hollywood’s most low-key couple is still going strong!
Reese Witherspoon, 31, and Jake Gyllenhaal, 26, who met last summer on the set of Rendition, had a rendezvous following a May 25 visit to a doctor’s office in Culver City, California.
After the appointment, the pair hopped into separate cars and headed to Witherspoon’s house.
“Jake put his hand out of the sunroof and was waving, “says an eyewitness. “They looked totally in love.”

Jennifer Aniston’s publicist is denying a report by Star magazine that the former Friends star is writing a dishy book spilling the details of her four-year marriage to Brad Pitt and their 2005 divorce.
“Jennifer has no plans to write a book,” Aniston’s rep tells Usmagazine.com. “She is not looking to write a tell-all. She has no interest in it.”
The latest issue of Star dedicates its cover to the story titled “Finally! Jen’s $5 Million Tell-All!” and quotes sources telling the mag, “Jennifer Aniston is finally ready to pour her heart out and bare the intimate details of her charmed but troubled life in an explosive tell-all book.”
This isn’t the first time the actress, 38, has been accused of taking on a second career in writing.
Last year, Britain’s Daily Mirror published a story alleging that Aniston was planning to pen a tome about her relationship with her ex “to get back at Brad for his romance with Angelina Jolie,” based on a diary she supposedly kept during their relationship.

Entourage’s Kevin Connolly, acting very attentive toward Haylie Duff at Hyde Lounge in Los Angeles. The two sat at a table with Duff’s more famous sister, Hilary and others, though they made several trips upstairs to smoke together. Brittany Murphy and Factory Girl executive producer and writer Simon Monjack shocked friends and family in April by marrying after only four months of dating. The couple skipped the proposal and honeymoon, exchanging Neil Lane rings in a private L.A. home with only their families present.
But now Murphy’s inner circle is growing concerned about her new man’s history before he swept Murphy, 29, off her feet.
Among his troubles: two warrants for his arrest in Virginia for alleged credit-card theft and fraud; an unpaid $6,087 legal bill, and a $502,910 judgment against him by a British investment firm.
And Us Weekly reports in its new issue that Monjack gave his former fiancée, British film producer Taira Rafiq, an engagement ring he had told her was a diamond but was, in fact, cubic zirconia. “Taira tried to get in touch with Brittany to warn her,” a Rafiq pal told Us .
He also was jailed earlier this year for overstaying his tourist visa, and Murphy, 29, had to bail him out. “Simon began pushing for marriage, since he was going to be deported,” says a source, adding that Murphy paid for her own engagement ring

Lost in translation? Enrique Iglesias sparked a slew of breakup rumors when he told Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet that he and Anna Kournikova had been secretly married – and were now divorced.
“We’re divorced. I am single now, but that’s okay,” he told the newspaper. “I don’t mind being alone.”
But a Kournikova pal tells People mag that Iglesias was only joking, and his rep adds that, after five years, “They are still together.”
In 2004, rumors circulated that the singer and the Russian tennis player, 25, had tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, but a source told People at the time that it wasn’t true.
Just last month, Iglesias, 32, told People en Español his romance with Kournikova, 25, was “the only serious relationship I’ve had in my life.”
But when asked if he sees himself with her down the road, he said: “I don’t know. The only thing I can say is that, in my opinion, Anna, whether we are together or not, would be an ideal mother.”
